Tracy’s window and door industry career spans over 25 years in manufacturing, commercial/project management, service and operations. As a member of the SWDC team since 2005, he brings in-depth retrofitting knowledge and expertise in best installation practices.
From the first step of contacting Scherer for an estimate I was very impressed. Tracy was amazing and the process when fast and painless. I had a quote within hours of him visiting our home. I contacted him and set up a time to see the product at the showroom and signed a contract. Within one day I was contacted for scheduling and this process started just before Thanksgiving. I anticipated a February installation due to holiday schedules and was very surprised to be scheduled the first week in January. The installation was completed yesterday and the new product is amazing. The installation crew was awesome. So considerate and caring. I am so impressed with the entire project.
We had Scherer replace six large three season windows, and we were very happy with the entire process and product. We received estimates from three companies and Scherer not only had the best price but also had the product we wanted to match our existing windows in that room.. The entire process was well managed. We were kept apprised of all delivery and installation dates, and the installers were very knowledgeable. They exhibited a high concern for quality installation. We would definitely choose Scherer again for any future projects.

Chris has been a window consultant since 1991, and spent 14 years learning about the many types of residential windows while working with Harmon Glass. He started with SWDC in 2005, utilizing his extensive knowledge and expertise to create optimal window replacement solutions.
Everyone at Scherer Brothers was great to work with each time we have used them to replace windows in our 1950s house. Not only did the sales rep (Chris) visit us multiple times to confirm the windows would work for us, he offered suggestions to achieve the view goals that we had with the windows. Installation was professional and timely and the crews clean up well once completed.

Tom spent two years at Marvin Windows’ manufacturing plant in Warroad, MN as a corporate trainer—educating architects, designers, and contractors on the entire spectrum of Marvin products. In 2015, Tom joined Scherer Bros. Lumber Co. as a sales associate, focusing on Marvin window and door products. His experience working at the manufacturing facility gave him in-depth knowledge of the construction and quality of Marvin products.
My new windows were installed yesterday and they are awesome! Better than I even hoped! Jim has worked in the remodeling industry for over 30 years, with the last 17 years focusing on the window and door replacement industry. Jim started working at Justus Lumber in Hopkins in 1999, eventually starting his own Marvin Window replacement company in 2006. Jim joined Scherer Window & Door in 2016. Being a long-time carpenter and contractor, Jim brings extensive experience to the window installation industry. Prior to coming to Scherer Bros., she was Vice President of a local manufacturing/retail operation for 15 years with a focus on Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
Upon joining Scherer Bros. in 2004, she recognized consumers’ need for quality, installed replacement windows and doors from a company they could trust, and subsequently pioneered Scherer Window & Door, utilizing the immense talent and resources available at Scherer Bros. Lumber Co.

Derek has been with Scherer Window & Door since 2016. Derek has an A.A. degree in Construction Management, as well as over seventeen years of experience in both new construction and remodeling. Jaime graduated from the University of Minnesota, majoring in Arts and Communication. She applied her skills as a project manager at Best Buy before coming to SWDC in 2018. Jaime oversees project permits, installation scheduling, material requisitions, crew insurance and bonding, and everything in-between that arises during a remodeling project. She ensures projects keep moving through the various stages and are completed as quickly as possible. Jamie is also a professional photographer. Brittany has an A.A. degree in Architectural Drafting and has been on our Administrative team since 2019. She has been active in the Twin Cities residential construction industry since 2010. Outside of SWDC, she is the owner of “The Raspberry Panda,” specializing in children’s furniture and also teaches local DIY classes for all ages. Brittany processes our projects in the start-up phase to ensure all information has been completed. She will assist you in scheduling your in-home consultation for window replacement, as well as answer any financing or contract questions you might have.
